Hello
I'm Courtenay, and it's so nice to meet you!

I'm a reader first - and boy, do I love to read. There is no greater feeling in the world than being able to escape into a fictional reality and form attachments with characters so seamlessly that they stop feeling fictional at all.

That's your job as an author - build the world that ensnares all of our senses and refuses to let go. But maybe that one word isn't quite right? Or has that phrase been used before?
That's where I come in.

I can help take your story from good to enchanting - all while keeping your own unique voice. The editing process shouldn't alter a story beyond recognition - it should enhance what's already there. I'm excited to see how I can help you take your book to the next level.
My Story
I've been a reader for as long as I can remember. When I was 15, my grandmother passed away very suddenly, and through a joke with my mum and my grandfather about how to cure his loneliness, we bought him a Mills and Boon novel. The very same day, I spirited that book away to a far corner of the garden and I read, completely engrossed in the story. I snuck it home with me and kept it hidden under my mattress so I could read (and re-read and re-read) it at night. I think that's when the romance bug bit me, but I didn't fully understand it, and I certainly wasn't going to ask my mum to buy me more.

Years later, I came to the understanding that my reading tastes were nothing to be ashamed of, and I devoured anything and everything that interested me. When I discovered the world of ebooks and self-published authors, well. I'd say that's when my true love affair with romance began.

I've been beta reading, proofing, and offering valuable feedback to authors for several years now. And just as my love of the romance genre has grown and expanded, so too has my knowledge and passion for the written word. There's nothing I love more than researching a phrase or a word I'm unfamiliar with - not only am I ensuring my work remains at a high standard, but I'm adding each little addition into my repertoire for future use. There's nothing quite like weaving words into a magical foundation to create something truly special.
